We are currently seeking a Technical Specialist / Applications Engineer for Brown Sharpe-TESA products, which include MicroHite 3D, Vision, TESA Scan Machines and Scopes. This position is available at our North Kingstown, Rhode Island location, where we offer the latest in technology, a stimulating work environment, and opportunities to work alongside some of the sharpest minds in the industry.
Job Summary
· Provide technical support, product demonstrations, programming and training on Brown Sharpe-TESA products at Hexagon Metrology’s and customers’ sites.
· Assist the sales team by effectively communicating the benefits of Hexagon Metrology’s products and providing solutions to measurement applications
· Travel 25-30%
Additional Responsibilities will include:
- Take a challenging issue from problem statement through to resolution and follow-up
- Develop, prepare and conduct training classes in machine operations and programming
- Create training programs and tools to meet customers’ needs
- Assist product managers w/new product development and/or improvements
- Provide product testing and debugging on new and upgraded products
- Assist with installation, verification, calibration and/or service at customers sites, if required
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
- 5 years related experience
- Manufacturing background with knowledge of three-dimensional geometry, GDT
- Experience in machine operations and programming
- Strong analytical and technical problem solving skills
- Effective interpersonal, communications and presentation skills
- High level of organization and follow-through
- Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
