The Manufacturing Application Engineer (MAE) will be based in Maryland office and report directly to the President.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide superior customer service and solutions to an expanding customer base.
- Work closely with customers, the outside sales force, and the inside team and on occasion travel with sales to meet directly with customers.
- Review customer part drawings and recommend tooling requirements. Create the most accurate and well formulated customer quotations by reviewing customer part drawings, developing tooling solutions that will allow the customer to buy the least amount of tooling to get the best results, and deliver the quotation quickly and in a professional format
- Provide expert technical support listening to requests for assistance, understanding what is required, then offering solutions that will insure increased press brake productivity
- Turn inquiries and quotations into orders
- Skillfully organize and manage a number of simultaneous tasks and projects
Qualifications:
- Understanding of manufacturing and industrial processes
- Five years minimal experience in metal bending and/or sheet metal fabrication
- Knowledge of press brakes and press brake tooling
- Experience with CAD systems, particularly Solidworks
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- The ability to understand a request, ask the right questions and deliver a solution.
- Documented history of establishing and maintaining effective and cooperative working relationships with customers and internal staff
- Technical degree or equivalent work experience
