Applications Engineer Job in Palo Alto 94301, California US
We are looking for an experienced Applications Engineer to join a fast-paced, high-energy start-up. The ideal candidate will be accountable for assisting customers with the integration design-in of our solution into low-cost, low-power wireless systems.
Successful candidates will be self-directed, flourish in a fast-paced environment, easily wear several hats, accept multiple responsibilities, possess excellent communication skills be familiar with the innate problems within wireless communications.
Responsibilities
You will be the primary technical interface with customers from first presentation through release to production. Candidate is responsible for daily communication follow-up of multiple customer projects. . Candidate will aid the process of firmware integration testing. You help guide the customer from initial sales presentation through design-in into production. You are accountable for solving customers' technical questions following through on customer requests for records information because you are the customer's voice within the company, relaying customer requirements to engineering.
Requirements
- B.S.E.E. degree (M.S.E.E. preferred) with 5+ years' industry experience.
- Experience working mutually with customers in prototyping debugging complex systems, ideally wireless.
- Software /or systems background.
- Fluent in C programming.
- Solid experience with embedded hardware system design, including embedded RTOS, microcontrollers digital interfaces.
- Superb communication skills.
- Extremely organized; capability to manage various customers provide thorough follow up.
- Familiarity with product/software version tracking tools ticket-based defect tracking systems.
Priority consideration for
- Experience with wireless systems (ZigBee, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi)
- Knowledge of LAN protocols such as IEEE802 TCP/IP.
- Familiarity with RF board design.
- Reference design or evaluation board development for low-cost, low-power commercial wireless systems (ZigBee, Cellular, TV or Satellite, Bluetooth, WLAN, Cable modems, etc).
- Assembler programming skills.
