Purpose
This key role involves management all proposal opportunities through the development of preliminary designs, costing, budget and final proposal preparation. The successful candidate will support the Business Development team across North America for all wastewater, drinking water, industrial process water, produced water and brackish water treatment systems in a dynamic design team setting.

Reports to
Director of Applications and Product Management

Responsibilities
Coordinate all final and budget proposal responses in support of Business development inquiries. 
Undertake all preliminary design of water and/or wastewater treatment plants to include; process design development, generation of detailed PI, GA and PFD drawings, detailed Bill of Materials, project costing and responsive proposal documents.
Follow risk mitigation policies in development of responsive technical and commercial proposal replies.
Prepare preliminary designs of systems and equipment for fabrication in accordance with applicable client specifications, recognized codes, standards, and recommended practices
Work as team across all engineering and support disciplines to develop responsive Commercial and Technical proposal replies.
Assist in the development of new products, product specifications, support templates, design tools and actively support the growth and development of procedural improvements.
Ensure all bid inquiry deliverables are met with uncompromising quality and in accordance with applicable codes and standards, health, safety and environmental requirements

Qualifications
Education
Education: College diploma/University degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental Engineering or a related field
Certifications: P. Eng preferable
Experience: Minimum 5 years water and/or wastewater Applications Engineering utilizing multiple treatment technologies. Industrial process water design experience is an asset.

Skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills combined with hands on work ethic and results oriented attitude as core skills
Detail understanding of process design, PI drawing development, bid management, risk mitigation, development of responsive and detailed proposals.
Plant equipment design including multiple treatment technologies for either water or wastewater systems and strong familiarity with all system components; screening equipment, pumps, blowers, valves, control and monitoring instrumentation, control systems.
Must be able to perform process kinetics for treatment designs
Knowledge of drafting software Autodesk AutoCAD
PC literate, including Microsoft Office software and knowledge of process modeling programs
Capable of working on multiple projects: ability to prioritize and be highly organized

Work Environment
This position will be located in our Ontario office. Primarily will be based in an office environment, travel to client work sites/camps will be required from time to time.

Travel Required
Occasional travel to remote site locations is required as well as general travel to support business development opportunities through conferences, client calls and consultant offices.
