SUMMARY OVERVIEW
The Applications Engineering Intern will be responsible for supporting existing systems as well as assisting with the development of new technologies. The ideal candidate must display excellent written and oral skills and must be able to work in a varied, fast paced environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide technical support for all manufacturing builds including engineering prototypes, production releases.
· Stay abreast of the latest technology and techniques to assist with designs that are competitive and cost effective while maintaining conformity with applicable standards such as ASME, ANSI, AWWA etc..
· Support management in identifying internal and external resources to support product development
· May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Able to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines.
· Able to promptly answer support related email, phone calls and other electronic communications.
· Self motivated, detail-oriented and organized.
· Proficient in Internet related applications such as E-Mail clients, SVN, FTP clients and Web Browsers.
· Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
· Candidate for Bachelors degree in Engineering. Enrolled students welcome.
· CAD experience helpful.
· Ability to follow design standards a must.
· Strong attention to detail
· Successful delivery of assigned application development tasks and projects.
· Effective collaboration with teammates and the organization.
· Positive contributions to the organization beyond the scope of normal responsibilities.
