My client is looking for an Applications Integration Engineer to join their team in Hook. This Applications Integration Engineer must be eligible for Security Clearance and have wide experience at application integration and best working practices, Windows 2003, Experience with VMWare and a
Pro-active approach to resolving integration issues.
Role Overview:
This role is for a Perm Apps Dev engineer to fill the role of Overtask Apps 6.
The role is to sit with a defence project in Hook and requires the successful applicant to be willing and able to undergo MOD/Defence Vetting Agency clearance.
As part of the OVERTASK Application Integration team, the engineer will be responsible for the full lifecycle of application integration for individual applications.
Day to day responsibilities:
Activities will include
• Liaising with Application sponsors
• Production of feasibility studies and recommended solutions
• If necessary, presenting feasibility study findings and recommended solutions to Application sponsors and MOD Client.
• Application design, development and integration onto the OVERTASK system
• Liaison with the rest of the design team to ensure end to end solution provided
• Production of installation and configuration instructions
• Conduct of unit testing
• Assisting test team during system testing
• Produce best practice guides for system enhancements
There is the potential for deployment to install on the live environment if mutually agreed
Integration will cover both new application and updates to existing application
The types of applications will be varied, ranging from COTS applications, eg CA Service Desk, though bespoke military applications, eg CIDNE. As such a breadth of skills is required rather than specific knowledge of an application
Essential Skills:

Desirable Skills:
CISCO networking, MCSE, ITIL Foundation qualified
