Applications Packager
Our customer is looking for an applications packager for a long term, open-ended contracting opportunity. Our customer is currently launching a company wide Windows 7 migration and are in need of an applications packager with Wise and MSI expertise to join their engineering team. This person will be responsible for: Creating application deployment packages to automate the deployment of COTS software to the enterprise, integrating corporate standards while maintaining vendor supportability - Continually refine the packaging template to improve the overall software deployment process - Work with other members of the Desktop Engineering team, business analysts, support staff, pilot users, and vendors to determine business and technical requirements, obtain vendor-supported methods of customization, and to gather feedback regarding user acceptance testing Requirements - Expert knowledge of WiseScript and Microsoft Installer (MSI) - Advanced knowledge of VBScript and/or Batch. - Experience with Windows 7 x64 related issues, including UAC, Active Setup - Full knowledge of operating system operations, registry, DLLs, etc. - Proficiency with standard packaging and troubleshooting tools including Orca, ProcMon,) - Experience with developing shims using Application Compatibility Toolkit desired - Experience with Microsoft SCCM or SMS desired - Experience with an application virtualization technology such as App-V or XenApp Streaming beneficial If interested please apply.
