APPLICATION SCIENTIST - Location Hillsboro, OR

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

The selected applicant will have the opportunity to work closely with process engineers in semiconductor fabs to develop innovative scatterometry solutions for complex materials and structures. Duties will include (a) characterization of cutting-edge measurement technologies; (b) developing highly complex mathematical models; (c) improving the ease-of-use of modeling software; (d) technical publications, making technology / product presentations; (e) technical training of customers; (f) application support of the measurement units at customer sites.

REQUIREMENTS:
The candidate must use either Visual Basic, C++, or Matlab for basic programming. College-level understanding of optics, semiconductor, and statistics, or 2 years of industry experience is required. Experiences with optical instrumentation are strongly desired. A PhD/Post Doc. in Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering. Familiarity with PC and MS Office programs is a must. In addition, excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary. Up to 50% travel for the first year of employment.
