As an Application Support Analyst, you will be responsible for providing 24 x 7 coverage performing troubleshooting, trouble ticket updates, escalation, resolution and reporting of incidents for our production environments. In support of incident management, you will employ your troubleshooting and SQL skills regularly as you work closely with other technology groups including Development, Data Base Administration, and Quality Assurance (QA), Infrastructure (Networking, Systems and Storage, Build and Deploy, and Operations). In addition, you will execute systems administrative tasks, help create and maintain production support documentation and assist on projects when directed. In this position, you will be responsible to quickly evaluate information, engage and assist technology staff, and communicate issues to help remediate and resolve production issues efficiently and effectively.
Production support covers Infrastructure and specific application support for Public Sector lockbox processing. Looking for a technical individual to work with operations, technology and vendors to support production applications. Communicates between groups and takes ownership of issues as needed to solve technical problems. Documents and plans implementations of hardware and software solutions as required by both internal and external customers. The role also requires ability to document and plan implementations of hardware and software solutions as required by both internal and external customers.
This is a Windows-centric environment, where the successful candidate will have experience debugging performance, access, and integration issues during upgrades, implementations, and while doing general support. The candidate should also have strong verbal and written communication skills, and solid business analysis skills, in order to understand requirements and where gaps in those requirements exist.
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience or specialized training) in Information Technology (IT), Computer Science (CS), Software Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years relevant Production Support and incident management experience.
- Working Windows 20032008 knowledge (Microsoft Certification preferred) - and an ability to support both desktops and servers. This is not, however, a systems administration job, though the skill sets are similar.
- Experience with IIS, Windows Active Directory, Group Policy management, Windows Domain configurations, and DNS.
- Working knowledge of Cryptology specifically FIPS 140-2 compliant encryption standards.
- Familiarity with VeritasSymantec backup products.
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Sql Server is required. SQL - PL/SQL preferred (SQL server 2000 / Oracle 10g)
- Must have a good understanding of Microsoft Office applications, such as Excel, Access, MS Word etc.,
- Experience with creating process, procedures, and documentation relating to incident management or systems operations
- Implementation skills are required to plan, coordinate and integrate new software and hardware in various environments. Familiarity with project MS-Project helpful.
- Troubleshooting ability - demonstrated skill in debugging issues related to installations, applications and performance.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills. The successful candidate will have strong technical skills and communication skills, coupled with common sense and a willingness to learn both the business and the applications which support it.

- A flexible, independent worker with a can-do attitude.
- Ability to work independently as a self-starter, and within a team environment.
- Must be willing to work nights, Saturdays, and sometimes on Sundays. Availability is the biggest key to this position.
- Must have a very good attention to detail, this is also one of the biggest key's to this position.
- Vendor management experience is preferred, and the majority of software implemented will be 3rd party.
- Experience in banking or finance, especially check and or lockbox processing preferred.
