Great opportunity for a Technical Support Consultant with experience in SQL Server to join a World Leading Software Solutions Provider!

Due to continued success my client has a fantastic opportunity for a Support consultant with SQL Server skills to join their team onsite with a high profile client in Canberra.

As an onsite Consultant you will be responsible for acting as the first port of call for support queries and being solely responsible for the on going configuration and optimisation of the clients solution.

Responsibilities:
• Provide support for the administration, configuration, report/workflow development and maintenance of implemented solutions.
• Perform day-to-day maintenance of solutions including resource setup, configuration updates and patch management.
• Develop ad hoc and standard dashboards, reports and views.
• Maintain and enhance workflows to meet ongoing needs of the organisation
• Assist client staff in troubleshooting and root-cause diagnosis of application issues.
• Update software with any necessary service packs and maintain accurate deployment documentation with Technical Support.
• Develop and maintain detailed configuration documentation and standard operating procedures.
• Identify, build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external customers.
• Ensure task assignments and deliverables are completed within approved timeframes, budgets and to the satisfaction of internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain and update technical installation details, manuals, install scripts and support log issues as required.
• Produce both verbal and written reports on activities at agreed intervals, and whenever substantive actions are required.
 
Skills/Qualifications/Experience Required:
• Previous experience as a Support Consultant
• Experience with working with private or public sector clients
• Technical skills and experience in database deployment (MS SQL Server especially) Industry recognised technical qualifications (MCSE, CCNA or similar)
• Experience with Client/Server applications
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ambitious, motivated individual who seeks career progression.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills.
• Microsoft Office (including Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
• Australian citizenship is essential for this role
