Applications Support Scientist II

 

A current vacancy exists for an Applications Support Scientist II. 

 

Typical tasks of the position include, but are not limited to:

·         Provide technical support to the field sales/service organization, customers and marketing organization. 

·         Provide analysis of customer samples, data, and prepare presentations and reports to support the sales process.

·         Prepares and conducts training for both field sales/service personnel and customers.

·         Up to 25% travel for essential job functions.

 

 

 

The successful candidate will have a combination of knowledge, skills, and experience that would include the following:

 

·         Knowledge normally acquired through completion of a four (4) year undergraduate degree in a Chemistry related field and the completion of a PhD in a Biochemistry or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

·         In addition to the education requirements, typically 3 to 5 years of relevant industrial experience is expected. 

·         Exhibit superior oral and written communications skills in order to present data to customers and peers.

·         Demonstrate analytical and problem solving skills.

·         Ability to travel, by both air and ground carrier, within and outside the United States to visit customers and other TA Instruments sites is required. 

·         Ability to respond rapidly and effectively to changing business needs and priorities.
