The Tech center is a key component of our unique, industry leading partnership with Syracuse University. The focus within the Tech Center ranges from security event monitoring to access management to the engineering of critical security tools for the firm. Our collaboration with Syracuse University focuses on creating a unique curriculum in the domain of Global Enterprise Technology, performing applied research in areas of mutual interest - with the majority of research focused on Cyber Security. The JPMC Tech Center is also committed to the city of Syracuse and active in community service throughout the city. The Tech Center is looking for dynamic technologists interested in driving innovation at a leading global financial services firm with assets of $1.1 trillion and operations in more than 50 countries. Role Overview: The position of Service Delivery Manager will be responsible for leading the Service Delivery Function within Chase Wealth Management/Broker Dealer Services. As the Service Delivery Manager the candidate will initiate, promote and drive the use of best practices within the firm through use of state-of-the-art technologies, efficiencies and process improvements. The candidate will partner with firm-wide engineering and architecture teams, PMO and application development towers. The candidate will assume managerial responsibilities for directing a diverse technical team that is accountable for service management and availability, performance and capacity management, budgetary efficiency analysis and total cost of ownership. Technology platforms include hundreds of UNIX and Windows operating system instances, Oracle and SQL databases, various middleware platforms including Weblogic and MQ and a significant mainframe dependency. Summary of Responsibilities and Expectations for the Role: Lead and direct a diverse technology team with varied skills and experience. Build, train and develop depth and skill of technology staff . Provide individuals with constructive feedback and coach staff in technical matters and delivering on other job-related responsibilities . Conduct performance reviews, appraisals and personal development planning with each team member. Promote effective teamwork and resolve interpersonal issues. Manage relationships with external service vendors to ensure superior, cost effective solutions delivery. Work with business and IT leadership to understand overall strategy and define infrastructure strategies at the business unit level. Maintain excellent planning and financial control management. Enforce Risk Compliance policies. Excellent knowledge of the full project life cycle. Define metrics and provide management reports on business/technology KPI's . Actively participate with Customers and other technical peers in process improvement efforts. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in delivering high quality business solutions with focus on customer experience, IT controls, financial controls, service improvements and system stability/resiliency. Strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills are a necessity to achieve success in this role which is visible across the firm and to the highest levels of the organization.
