DESCRIPTION
This member of the IT Team will be a key player of a Matrix Team responsible for administering, monitoring and supporting key systems and applications. Supported by the cross functional IT department, the Application Administrator will be responsible for Level3 support escalation and fully responsible for the resolution of application issues.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Providing senior level operational application infrastructure administration and troubleshooting expertise.
Coordinate with IT staff and functional end-users to provide Level 3 support for applications.
Proactively monitor and streamline the health and performance of applications and their associated services to increase business performance and continuity.
Assist with the development, documentation and maintenance of issue resolution and support procedures for all associated applications (including Web Server, Databases etc.).
Document and maintain operational support procedures, coordinate and liaison with the 24 X 7 IT Operations staff.
Work with release management to test and migrate code through non-production environments to production.
Ongoing maintenance of software including patches fixes, upgrades and performance enhancements.
REQUIREMENTS

3+ years of Oracle Application Server Administration.
3+ years of Linux/UNIX/Windows experience.
3+ years Tomcat / Apache Server / IIS Administration
1+ years experience with Tibco Business Works helpful
Strong SQL, PL/SQL skill set and performance tuning knowledge.
UNIX and shell scripting experience helpful.
Familiarity with SQL Server, Oracle Real Application Clusters and Oracle Forms and Reports desired.
A broad technical knowledge base, with the ability and desire to keep informed of emerging technology.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree preferably in Computer Science, or Management Information Systems.
Oracle Application Server Certifications is a plus.
Strong PL/SQL skill set and performance tuning knowledge.
