Appraiser
Position Summary
An Appraiser is responsible for appraising and estimating loss and damage associated with auto insurance claims.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Within your level of authority, you will determine legal liability and the extent of damage.
- Working with various third parties including claimants, contractors/suppliers, vendors and other insurance companies to appraise damages.
- Provide timely and effective communication of decisions to claimants.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years auto body; and 5 years appraising experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- An Alberta Auto Body Journeyman certificate, or Red Seal certified when licensed outside of Alberta is required.
- Good customer service skills and highly developed organizational and time management skills.
- Moderate skill with computers, scanners and other office equipment. Experience with the Mitchell system is an asset.
- This position provides a company vehicle as out of office travel is required.
