POSITION SUMMARY:
Diagnose and accurately repair engines and equipment as assigned, in accordance with published service directives.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
Perform Service and Repairs
-Respond to customers courteously and professionally.
-Involve the Service Manager to assist in answering customer?s questions when necessary.
-Coordinate with Service Manager to correct customer demands or complaints in a timely and responsive manner.
-Achieve and maintain technical competency and currency
-Advise Service Manager of required parts.
-Perform professional quality shop or field service repairs consistent with company standards.
-Maintain a safe work area by keeping it clean and orderly.
-Maintain adequate personal tooling to perform assigned tasks.

Documentation
-Write detailed descriptions of all repair operations completed on repair order hard copies and job tickets. Write legibly. Must be understood by associates processing the repair order.
-Enter time in BMS each time work is started and stopped on a specific repair.

Education:
High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)

Experience:
One of the following: two years technical training and two years experience, or three year apprenticeship, or four to five years of hands-on experience.

Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (Protective Glasses, Protective Gloves, Protective Footwear)

Work Environment
Mechanic shop environment.
