POSITION PURPOSE: Lead/oversee the architecture, design, inter-operability, and structure of the .NET framework. Use best practices, from enterprise-level perspective, to facilitate technologies that provide the most operable and sustainable systems. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Guide and govern code-based best practices and standards - Develop cross-department services and applications in coordination with IT central architecture team - Act as subject matter expert (SME) on projects for SOA, architecture and integration - Track and document logical systems - Prepare and deliver presentations on standards, new technologies, best practices, and patterns to employees at all levels within the organization - Assist with the design and architecture of complex development projects - Regularly research IT trends in order to maintain knowledge of cutting edge developments in the areas of software development on the Microsoft stack, data management and best practices, and processes, including SDLC and ALM best practices - Complete appropriate documentation for technical designs, processes engineering, and project decisions - Lead, support, and contribute to process improvement efforts - Champion the adoption of process and design best practices - Identify and track appropriate measures of success, including technical and process-related metrics
