Architectural Sales Rep Job in Dixon 95620, California US

POSITION SUMMARY: Under the guidance of the Sales Manager, this position is responsible for representing Basalite Concrete Products, its products, and, in general terms, the concrete masonry industry to Architects, Engineers, Specification Writers, General Contractors, as well as Building Owners. Knowledge of the design, construction, and development community is required as well as the current project delivery methods. Performance of other related duties as required.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

·         Service design professionals with technical, detail, and specification information and assistance with the goal of obtaining project specification of our product line.

·         Educate on use and application of our product line through various methods including, luncheon seminars, face to face sales call, trade shows and various networking functions.

·         Track, monitor, and disseminate project specification information for sales and sales call leads.

·         Promote company by means of in office sales calls, trade shows, literature and information dispersion, sample kits, Responsible for their form, content, distribution, and maintenance.

·         Discern market trends and recognize code/technical activity related to company products.  Keep management informed of any significant occurrence that may effect and impact the company.

·         Participate and network in Architectural, Engineering and  Specification Associations including but not limited to CSI, AIA, SEOCC, etc.

·         Abide by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies and ensure that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.

·         All other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time by the company or designated representatives.

 

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

·         Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Architecture, Construction Management, or comparable training.

·         Requires excellent reading, writing and mathematical skills.

·         Requires ability to understand specifications and the various project delivery methods.

·         A working knowledge of concrete masonry products preferred.

·         Ability to use and operate automobile, personal computer, Power Point and projectors, printer, calculator, copier, facsimile, various hand tools and any other equipment required  for performing duties.

·         Must have current California driver’s license, good driving record and an automobile with proof of auto insurance.

·         Regular attendance is required. Base office in Dixon, Ca.
