Architecture Analyst
CIBER, Inc. is currently seeking Architecture Analyst candidates who will work as members of a team and is an assigned resources to projects. These candidates will be working with minimal supervision under the guidance of a Team Lead. These candidates will be expected to accomplish complex project tasks on time and to the highest standards. This position requires good time management skills and ability to work well in a group. The Architecture Analyst must have excellent troubleshooting skills to quickly identify and resolve issues with new deployments and excellent communications skills to effectively communicate within team and across functional teams. Routine will be at least partially in the Boston data center location and require to rack and stack additional servers and equipment. Will also require some cabling to be done as needed to help the network team. Other efforts will require assisting group in plate spin migrations of physical servers in another location to this location. Routine work will involve building OS on servers for projects other than the migration project, documenting those builds and following our project lifecycle. Requires excellent communication both written and verbal skills as most communication is via phone and email.
Responsibilities include:
- Work on assigned projects to complete server build tasks on schedule.
- Participates in project meeting calls to provide status and assist in time estimation for infrastructure build tasks.
- Deploy physical and virtual servers: install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems and clusters.
- Has a solid understanding of Active Directory.
- Ability to follow System Architecture Plans to ensure servers is deployed according to plan.
- Engage with networking teams to ensure appropriate connectivity and to resolve any server networking issues that may arise.
- Engage with Security groups to ensure vulnerability scanning is done and provide remediation for any issues with build.
- Engage with Security groups to ensure firewalls rules are set correctly according to SAP.
- Ensure Antivirus and Backups are configured correctly by working with the appropriate teams.
- Document server builds as appropriate and ensures seamless handoff to Operations team.
- Remain up to date on latest technologies in the related fields.
- Accurately track time against multiple projects.
- 5+ years Server infrastructure (HP a plus).
- 5+ years Windows (2000, 2003, 2008, 2008R2 and Windows clustering technologies), Linux (RedHat 5, RedHat 6.1), or Solaris (v10).
- 4+ year Active Directory experience.
- 4+ years working with data center applications in an audited environment (SOX/PCI/HIPAA).
- 4+ years experience with VMWare (VCenter administration and troubleshooting).
- Strong troubleshooting skills (hardware and operating systems).
- Strong communications and documentation skills.
- Experience working in a disperse and segregated environment with many different teams.
Travel requirement, 10% of time
