About the Job
As right hand to the group finance senior manager you will be required to drive the area forward in terms of the financial control, group consolidations and external reporting. In a flat structured and fluid team you will play a key role in providing the half and year end reporting whilst working for a company and manager who are conscious of a work life balance. It is essential that you have very strong interpersonal skills and can demonstrate the ability to challenge senior figures as this is a central role to the organisation. In return you can expect to gain a broad knowledge through business unit interaction and the respect of numerous like minded characters.
A qualified accountant with a proven track record in a lead financial accounting role, you will be the second in command and consequently have the ability to motivate other members in the team and subtleties to get desired information from the business. Whilst experience in the financial services is preferred applications from similar roles in large blue-chips will be considered. Whilst this is not a heavily technical role minimum requirements are experiences in consolidations, statutory reporting and process streamlining.
