Area Maintenance Surveyor Job in North Yorkshire, Yorkshire Uk

Eden Brown are currently exclusively recruiting for one of the countries largest providers of Social Housing. We require Building Maintenance Surveyors from a Housing background to manage a geographical area in the North and East Yorkshire area.
It is essential that candidates have previous client side Social Housing experience and have previous in managing contractors and Maintenance contracts.

The purpose of the role is to;

To deliver a comprehensive customer focused property maintenance service. The post holder will be required to undertake a full range of technical surveying duties and responsibilities - survey, specify and manage repair and planned works to maintain and improve the quality of Home's customers' properties.
This is achieved by proactively managing all property maintenance and service contracts locally the post holder will deliver a high quality and cost effective service.

Experience Required

Significant experience in a similar technical property maintenance role.·
Demonstrable technical surveying skills – specifically the experience and ability to investigate and diagnose complex building faults and specify suitable remedial works.
Experience and proven ability to conduct detailed property condition and dilapidation surveys.
Experience and proven ability to successfully manage substantial property related maintenance works programmes.
Significant experience of supervising building maintenance works contracts.
Demonstrable technical project management skills to deliver complex property works programmes to a high standard of quality, within agreed budget and timeframe.
Ability to directly line manage colleagues in administrative roles if required.
.Must be conversant with all aspects of construction, property and contract related legislation.
Ability to manage and control budgets and expenditure.
Ability to effectively manage time and prioritise heavy workloads with the ability to meet conflicting deadlines.
General understanding of environmental, social issues and housing law and policy and how these impact upon the services offered by the property maintenance team.
Must have a uk driving licence.
