In an environment where the EPCMs in Queensland are busy with tenders and still waiting for project sign off, this firm is ready to go and busy growing their team! Working with an engineering market leader with a worldwide reputation for quality engineering, design, project and construction management services, this firm is synonymous with leading mining projects across the globe and have a blue chip client base. They have a superb portfolio of work and have enjoyed outstanding growth as a result of their reputation, high quality work and commitment to strategic expansion.
As a result, we are in currently searching for an experienced Mechanical or Structural Engineer to be their Area Manager and lead and manage the construction of a large coal terminal materials handling system. This is a key role and we require extensive exposure liaising between multiple partners and strong project management experience.You will be responsible for ensuring project requirements are adhered to in a timely manner to relevant stakeholders; monitor contractor performance and monitor of project plans, schedules and budgets. You will also manage the tendering and post-tender phases for main construction package and have done so in a timely and safe manner. To be considered for this role, you will have the following:-
This role is to be based in Brisbane until second quarter 2012 then will mobilise to site in Queensland on a 10/4 roster. Paid overtime, site uplift etc is on offer.
