Position:  Area Manager

Position Location:  Denver, CO

Position Summary:

Oversees several business units and/or facilities. Supervises primarily non-exempt employees including responsibility for their selection, training and performance evaluation. Participates in the budget development and management process under the direction of the Operations Manager. Creates and plans programs and projects that adhere to approved budgets and schedules, and oversees their implementation. Develops, maintains and enhances client relationships.

Responsibilities:

1.Conduct preliminary review of all reports, budgets, revenues and expenses to ensure accuracy, reporting any discrepancies to the Operations Manager

2.Oversee revenue control for area of responsibility; may include report and budget development

3.Monitor and audit revenue control measures to ensure performance to budget, review and measure location and management performance and take corrective action when appropriate

4.Analyze data for recommendations including, but not limited to, competitive analysis

5.Interact directly with clients as assigned to maintain and enhance client relationships; may be responsible for new business development

6.Works with management and subordinates in developing, implementing, and enforcing operational standards to achieve operational excellence

7.Oversee the staffing of area of Operations including, but not limited to recruitment and selection of management and non-management staff

8.Works with Human Resources in the employee training and development, succession planning, employee relations, and counseling and disciplinary issues

9.Works with Accounting in the timely processing of Payables, Receivables, and other required tasks

10. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, and organize a diverse workload (proactively seeks new ways to increase productivity and efficiency)

11. Responsible for the Performance Management and Development of staff

12. Other duties as assigned

Skills:

Educational / Experience Requirements:

1.College degree and/or a minimum of 3-5 years operational and management experience to include multiple facility venues

2.Previous successful supervisory experience required

3.Financial analysis and budgeting experience

4.Proven positive client relations and customer service experience

5.Excellent oral and written communication skills, to include presentations and business writing

6.Exposure to Accounting software applications, and proficient in business computer software skills (Word, Excel, etc.)

7. Proven ability to meet profitability goals

2.Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.

3. Strong analytical skills are required in order to gather and summarize data for reports, find solutions to various operational and marketing problems and prioritize work.

4. Work requires continual attention to detail, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines with the ability to hold management and non-management subordinates accountable for assigned duties.
