About the Role
The Area Manager is responsible for overseeing and providing support to a cluster of approximately 8-10 Centres to ensure that:
- Centres are operating with strong business disciplines
- Mentor, coach and develop Centre Directors
- Monitoring, planning and implementing practices and strategies to improve the operations of Centres.
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage a team of Centre Director
· Assess competencies of staff
· Provide ongoing coaching and support to Directors and Centre staff
· Mentor and coach Directors to effectively manage their own staff
· Develop succession plans
Provide expertise to Centre Directors on Centre Performance
· Review Centre performance and work with Directors to investigate, prioritise and implement Centre improvements
· Provide guidance and support on analysis of financial performance
· Provide guidance and support in relation to Marketing and promotional initiatives
Licensing and Centre Compliance
· Provide support and guidance to Directors and Centre staff in relation to licensing and regulation requirements
Stakeholder Management
· Establish and maintain working relationships with all regulatory bodies and organisations within the early childhood sector
· Provides support and guidance to Directors on dealing with customer service issues
· Foster positive working relationships with all departments within the Company
Education and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, it is essential that you have an Early Childhood qualification, a current Drivers Licence and Police Check.
Skills and Experience
Our ideal candidate has:
- at least 3 years experience within the early childhood sector
- Experience in managing large teams
- Current knowledge of Childrens Services Regulations and Accreditation
- Knowledge of the National Quality Framework
- Ability to work on multiple tasks, with competing priorities
- Ability to work autonomously
- Sound busienss comprehension
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
