Area Manager Outbound

As an Area Manager, you will be responsible for the daily operation of specific functional areas (i.e., shipping, receiving, order filling, etc.) in a warehouse. Duties include manpower and workflow planning, time management, safety and administering constructive accountability when required.
Your focus will be on the service mission of the facility's stores and ensuring above standard customer service. You will utilize salaried and hourly leadership to communicate and execute tasks, while managing schedules and staffing to accomplish this. Providing input and managing area-related payroll and supplies expenses is also a requirement.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Continuously and accurately plan, prepare, supervise, review and evaluate operations within the facility.
- Possess the ability to effectively problem solve, delegate and follow up on tasks assigned to associates.
- Effectively resolve concerns of internal and external Customers and Associates.
- Communicate effectively with Wal-Mart Associates at all levels.
- Interview, train, develop, coach and perform appraisal process for Supervisors and hourly Associates.
- Demonstrate understanding and analyze productivity and quality reports.
- Ensure goals are met and exceeded in the areas of safety, quality, and productivity.
Minimum Qualifications:
· One year experience as a Walmart Logistics supervisor or manager including supervising, evaluating, mentoring and developing associates; managing associate workload; and participating in hiring and promotion of associates OR
· Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR
· Three years’ experience supervising, evaluating, mentoring and developing employees; managing workload; and participating in hiring and promotion of employees OR
· Associate’s degree in a related field and one year experience supervising, evaluating, mentoring and developing employees; managing workload; and participating in hiring and promotion of employees
