We are currently recruiting a senior position (Area Operations Superintendent) for a global energy market leading company based in Brisbane, Queensland.

The Role
The Area Operations Superintendent is a site based role playing an integral part of the operations leadership team and instrumental to meeting the business plan through safe and efficient operations across the assigned area.
The size of the role will vary depending on location, planned manpower levels, gas throughput and anticipated wellcount.
Reporting directly to the Field Operations Manager, your role will require you to manage a number of direct and indirect reports including staff, contractors and vendor employees.
Responsibilities
- Set vision, direction and enable implementation for all area operations.
- Develop a performance culture to achieve operational excellence and deliver the business plan.
- Ensure communication is effectively managed between site and Brisbane office.
- Deliver an agreed work programme, through aligning, prioritising, and managing a broad range of functional interests.
- Evaluate full implications of actions on profitability, costs and values.
- Continuously build organisational capability, assuring technical competencies are met and exceeded.
- Provide production and cost leadership, maximizing value from functional experts, industry best practice, and synergies between operations.
Skills Required
- In-depth knowledge of environmental health and safety legislation and Australian Standards as applicable to the operation.
- Proven capability in emergency command and control situations up to current industry standards.
- Thorough understanding of all OMS procedures.
- Highly skilled in developing policies, operating procedures, work and resource plans and schedules.
- Proven experience managing a significant budget.
- Demonstrated experience leading change management projects.
- Highly experienced in identifying and managing risks.
- Tertiary qualifications in a production or engineering discipline (highly desirable) or relevant industry experience.
