Area Resource Manager Job in Commerce City 80022, Colorado Us

SUMMARY:

Management of $8M+ of inventory and coordination of inventory movement within the Western Area of the US.  Understand job and customer needs to insure proper allocation of equipment.  Responsible for logistical operations, including cost, timelines, and efficiency.  Provide logistical support to multicraft services, including the purchase and distribution of insulation, paint, refractory materials, etc.  Manage procurement and allocation of safety supplies and other consumable items.  Supervise yard team members to insure orderly control of inventory and safe operation of yard functions.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Inventory Management/Dispatch:

•           Coordinate inter and intra company inventory movement in order to meet customer requirements

•           Forecast material requirements for all jobs

•           Supervise 2-7 yard personnel at various yards throughout Area

•           Maintain 98% inventory accuracy for all Divisions in Area

•           Maximize yard efficiencies to reduce unnecessary movement of equipment

•           Record shipment and return data daily within Brand’s Billing System

•           Complete monthly 10% inventories and annual 100% Physical Inventory for all Divisions in Area 

•           Ensure operational effectiveness and minimize cost from all non-fleet assets, to include trucks, forklifts, trailers, computers, etc.

•           Develop systematic process to understand needs and oversee purchase of safety supplies and other consumable items

•           Manage supplier database in order to leverage purchasing power to reduce cost / improve payment terms

•           Oversee procurement and distribution of multicraft supplies to numerous jobsites within Area

 

Warehouse/Yard:

•           Supervise yard personnel in counting inventory, completing pick and return lists, actual picking of inventory, loading and unloading trucks, and inspecting equipment for suitability of use.

•           Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, organized yard:  locating inventory and equipment in a logical manner to minimize loading time, storing equipment in proper racks and cover, insuring proper and safe use of material handling equipment, and removing debris and obstacles.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

•           This position supervises 2-7 yard laborers.

•           Responsible for recruiting, retaining, and developing direct reports, including managing performance.
