Area Sales Manager

Position Overview

Reporting to the President, the Area Sales Manager is responsible for the management of the defined Ontario territory sales operations, including sales force support, distribution and sales of DCC Merchant Services and Products, marketing program deployment, competitive intelligence, pricing and channel strategy.  The Area Sales Manager will help drive the company's achievement of its merchant acquisition and revenue goals.  He/She will be responsible for critical sales operations processes (process development, process improvement, process execution), responsible for sales forecasting and management specific to sales, as well as establishing control-related standards and procedures.

To be considered, you must have Sales Management experience in one or more of the following sectors: Payment/Credit Card Processing, Merchant Services and/or Credit Processing

Primary Responsibilities

• Achievement overall Sales Targets defined for the Territory
• Recruiting/Mentoring/Training /Supporting of Brokers in Territory per Commitment Plan
• Manage the Ontario sales organization of 8-11 brokers including overall sales process, set appropriate metrics for sales funnel management
• Work closely with the President to develop, establish, and direct channel and distribution strategies and programs
• Maintain key customer relationships and develop and implement strategies for expanding the company's customer base
• Consider pricing policies, including discounts and terms and conditions, for merchants and channel partners
• Be an expert of DCC and its competition's products across categories, understand and relay news and industry trends to the company
• Very strong written skills and the ability to articulate concepts, messages and strategies
• Excellent ability to stay cool under pressure, navigate calmly through change and be persuasive
• Demonstrates a passion for the industry, its players and trends
• Travel Ontario as required supporting the Brokers.
• Work and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders

This role offers a salary, as well as commissions and override commissions by each of your sales reps. On-target income for the role in Year 1 is $100k.
