We are seeking an uncommon professional to join our team as a LAN/WAN Technician/Engineer
LAN/WAN Routing Focus
Under the direction of Technical Services Management, plan, coordinate and design the implementation, installation, maintenance, testing, backup/recovery and capacity planning for CUNA Mutual's computer systems environment. Responsible for applications dealing with the overall computer systems operating system and telecommunications network. Must be available to work any shift, weekends or holidays as the situation dictates.
Job Responsibilities
Assist management in decisions pertaining to new and existing computer systems hardware and software requirements.
Includes research and recommendation of new products and maintenance to current products.
Assist management in both long and short range planning decisions including component failure impact analysis, performance tuning and capacity planning.
Direct activities of Technical Services Specialist I II and Technical Services Analyst I within the assigned areas of specialization for:
a. Installation and maintenance of CUNA Mutual's network systems.
b. Installation and maintenance of CUNA Mutual's network monitoring system software packages and products.
c. Technical assistance and support to customers, including problem determination and resolution, relative to CUNA Mutual's network systems.
Prepare detailed documentation for all functions performed including problem/change management.

Job Requirements
-BS in MIS or CS or equiv trade-off in related education and related professional work experience.
-Demonstrated good judgment and reliability.
-Demonstrated expertise in architecture design with the ability to lead and teach others. Provides technical leadership to others.
-Drive and/or influences departmental or overall technology practices.
-Proven ability to clearly and effectively communicate business and technical information, both verbally and in writing.
-Proven ability to provide a high level of customer service.
-Advanced WAN, LAN, TCP/IP, IPSEC, Ethernet skills with a 3-5 years experience in an Enterprise environment.
-Extensive EIGRP, BGP4, and OSPF Routing Protocol knowledge with 3-5 years experience in an Enterprise environment.
-Cisco Content Switch, local director, and/or Citrix NetScaler design and implementation skills with a 3-5 years experience with one or more of these products.
-Minimum of 3 years experience deploying and maintaining Cisco Unified Wireless Networks in an Enterprise environment.
-Experience with Cisco Nexus Datacenter products preferred.
-Experience maintaining HP ProCurve switches preferred.
-Experience with Solarwinds network monitoring suite preferred.
-Experience with NetScout network monitoring suite preferred.
