Position Description:
This is a contract position for a Art Director. We are seeking a candidate who has a passion for web and application interfaces. You’re a usability junkie and brand champion. Bad design makes your skin crawl - beautiful design puts a smile on your face. In this role you’ll be responsible for translating business-driving marketing/branding initiatives into compelling, conceptual visual design that motivates our audience to engage with and support the company brand.
Responsibilities
This role will be responsible for leading creative marketing projects and their respective design efforts, collaborating with internal clients and external vendors, and, ensuring projects are executed professionally and consistent with brand messaging and standards.
• Work with the Sr. Manager, Web Strategy and other team members to brainstorm solutions that support web-based product launches, campaigns and initiatives.
• Develop concepts and design for a variety of web marketing deliverables including, but not limited to: websites, campaign pages, online ads, email, splash pages, print advertisements, and related collateral.
• Work with content writers to understand the nuances of the Company audience and how to speak to them visually.
• Work collaboratively with web production team to ensure that the visual design functions successfully within the overall content framework and that designs are properly executed into code.
• Integrate the brand personality into all communication and maintain a consistent look and feel that reinforces and builds the Company brand as a leader and an innovator.
• Provide leadership and evangelize good design to internal colleagues and customers.
• Demonstrate a passion for quality and commitment to internal client satisfaction.
• Formulate and present design concepts to marketing peers and product managers.

Qualifications:
Requirements
• Minimum 4-5 years experience in web-based design/advertising
• Proven ability to develop best-in-class copy/layout solutions that distill complex marketing messages into digestible customer-friendly visual communication
• Strong conceptual talent with the ability to execute all designs to production-ready art
• Possess articulate presentation skills and an extreme attention to detail.
• Expert knowledge of Photoshop/Illustrator/ImageReady
• Working knowledge of Flash, CSS, HTML
• Multimedia experience a plus.
• BFA in Advertising or equivalent
• An online portfolio is required to apply for this position.
