Description

Responsible for delivering professional relationship management support to an assigned group of the most complex investment managers and clients in terms of size, risk, trading strategies, as well as the significance of the relationship to BNY Mellon by ensuring the completion of all transaction processing through coordination with the Instruction Processing Group and Instruction Verification Group, as well as ensuring the daily customer service needs are met. Incumbent must deliver services to each of the incumbent s assigned clients while also balancing the interests and requirements of BNY Mellon. Bachelor's Degree with a concentration in Business or Finance or equivalent work experience. Incumbent must have a thorough knowledge of the securities investment industry, its players, foreign exchange markets, and settlement practices in both domestic and foreign markets. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of servicing requirements and processing changes. Resolution of inquiries in a timely, accurate, professional manner is extremely important. Follow account management processes and procedures; apply independent judgment in executing standard and moderately complex account transactions. Act upon complex account matters referred from ASOI team members. Research discrepancies, develop potential solutions and implement action plan. Monitor procedure effectiveness, report deficiencies and recommend enhancement solutions. For extraordinary inquiries or highly complex account matters that may be out of the scope of the incumbent s job functions, incumbent must be able to clearly communicate issues to the appropriate internal group as well as active followup and escalation, when needed, to management. Incumbent is the main contact for their assigned investment managers and clients. Excellent customer service skills combined with adhering to internal controls and procedures are critical to maintain client and investment manager relationships. Client/Investment Manager relationships impact own team, dept, function and entire business. Interact directly with the investment managers and the incumbent s own work team; significant interaction with other Bank of New York Mellon entities. Incumbent must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrate a strong customer focus and customer orientation. Incumbent must display tact and diplomacy in difficult or awkward situations.

Qualifications

BA in Business or Finance or equivalent work experience. Bachelor s Degree preferred. 5 years experience. 5-8 years experience preferred.
