Asia Customs Program Director recruitment
Responsibilities:
- The business is undertaking a significant amount of MA activity (small and large) as part of its evolution. This feeds through to supply chain complexity and customs compliance.
- A key element of this role is to analyze the proposed MA activity to consider any supply chain and customs compliance issues to ensure an integrated approach is taken to transactional matters.
- Business evolution and new products will also drive different supply chain growth. The role will carry the responsibility to engage with the business units at an early stage in order to fully understand and support the introduction of new products.
- Identify and lead strategic project opportunities that drive greater alignment for Customs compliance across Asia sites taking account of the evolving business.
- Work closely with site Trade teams to drive improved coordination that results in greater efficiency and utilization of our Customs resources across Asia (Valuation, self audit, gov't engagement)
- Proactively engage with key government officials to drive the company's advocacy agenda as needed
- Leadership for MA, NPI, System integration's
- Be single point of contact to provide Customs expertise and advice to internal customers
- Provide Training to Internal GTT Trade team and other Internal Customers
- Drive and own Asia wide Self Assessment Process
- Trade Management for Taiwan, Korea and other Asia sites where no GTT presence
- Formulating implementing policies that ensure compliance, minimize exposure and maximize cash flow
- Liaising with Customs, other government authorities and industry associations to formulate policies that promote the smooth international transfer of products
- Driving the company worldwide policy on Customs issues through self audit, education and training.

- MBA is preferred
- At least 5 years relevant export licensing experience
