Their Asian operation is at a pivotal point of growth and as a result have a need for a dynamic executive to join the team to drive strategic corporate initiatives.
The role will report directly to the Head of the Asia region and to the UK corporate development team. As a new function, it will initially be stand-alone until the business demands you build a team. Working alongside the management team, you will support the formulation of strategies for the mid and long-term plans for the region, and then work closely with the business to drive the implementation and execution of plans. This role is likely to involve a diverse range of projects including the setting up of new offices, negotiations with new joint ventures and alliances, MA activities, setting up new channels of business, global process improvements and restructurings. You will be a key project lead and recruit internal teams and resources from the business to ensure plans meet the projected timescales.
Suitable candidates will have a minimum of 8-12 years of experience in another professional services environment. You must have proven ability to work at a strategic level, and have the confidence and gravitas to present comfortably to the management team at both regional and corporate level. You must also have a strong academic background and a stable history of success with blue chip or multinational companies. Experience of working in the Big 4, a consulting environment or a law firm will be a distinct advantage together with the ability to project manage, drive change and influence decisions at a senior level.
