This is a dual role encompassing both the Infrastructure Service and COO responsibilities. Reporting to the Regional GTIS CIO, and facing off to each CIO of the lines of business in APAC, you will be responsible for the following:
Infrastructure Service Lead
The focus of this role is on infrastructure spend and transformation. Responsibilities include the building of a strategic infrastructure plan for each business area, managing demand for infrastructure services, engaging subject matter experts within Technology as needed, ensuring the appropriate delivery of Technology services, and proactively managing the short and long-term priorities of the technology infrastructure for each line of business.
You will also be responsible for driving strategic change, improving transparency across programs and activities and enhancing the metrics and controls that we use to manage the Firm.
You will be leading a team of 11 ISL’s that represent all lines of business in the region as well as 7 staff in the COO function.
Chief Operating Officer
As the COO for APAC GTIS, you will manage internal communications, finances, PMO, Strategy Governance and Risk.
You will be responsible for managing the producer costs for GTIS and actively communicate consumer costs of GTIS services to the business in the region in partnership with ISL. You will be required to implement strategy and control governance which includes maintaining a watchful eye over cost, headcount, vendor spend and TE.
You will also manage the program and project portfolio for GITS APAC and keep the dashboard and risk items in order to provide transparency in the region.
As part of continual engagement with employees, you will be driving townhall agendas, as well as planning and setting up meeting structures for governance and strategy forums.
Requirements:
- Broad infrastructure technology awareness in compute, end user and market data products. Ideally the candidate would have a technical track record and grown through an infrastructure career path.
- Strong planning and organisation and analytics skills
- Able to interact effectively at all levels
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to operate in a matrix organisation and across a wide stakeholder group
- Strategic acumen
- Ability to creatively solve problems and evaluate new ideas
- Ability to lead and influence virtual teams
