Asia Pacific Risk Control – Director – Leading Global Asset Management Business recruitment

The Asia Pacific Risk Control Director will assist in the development and implementation of a risk control framework and provide thought leadership on quantitative and qualitative risk management methodologies for portfolio management. The incumbent will be responsible for regular market and credit risk reporting of Hedge Fund and Traditional Investments businesses, including VaR, stress loss, operational guidelines, counterparty exposure, liquidity risk and issuer risk. The jobholder will review pricing and risk models on financial instruments including equity, fixed income, FX and fund of funds and be responsible for integrating third party risk management systems for the Traditional Investments business area. The incumbent will liaise with logistics groups to identify operational risk issues and implement risk policy initiatives, participate in global asset management valuation, new business and operating committees and work with the global risk control team to standardise processes and leverage existing resourcing.

The successful candidate will be a degree holder with at least 5 years experience in risk management, those with buy side asset management experience are preferred. Applicants will need to demonstrate solid knowledge and experience of fixed income and equity fund strategies and knowledge of Asia Pacific regulatory requirements. Candidates will need to have solid interpersonal and communication skills.
