Asia Sell-Side Research Commercial Manager recruitment
Overview:
Thomson Reuters is a global leader in addressing the needs of sell-side research organizations. The Thomson Reuters Sell-Side Research division (SSR) is currently looking to hire a SSR Commercial Manager for the Asia time zone region. This role will be part of the larger Thomson Reuters Investment Banking Commercial Management team and will work very closely with the Thomson Reuters SSR product and sales teams.
As the Commercial Manager for Asia, this role's mandate is to drive business growth through new sales, retention and migration strategies. The role requires strong engagement with both internal (sales, account management, product management) and external (clients but also media, professional associations) stakeholders.
This is an exciting opportunity for the right individual to work closely with the leading research organizations in Asia with the backing of a strong global franchise.
Responsibilities
- Drive awareness of the SSR products and strategies across internal and external stakeholders.
- Management of the commercial opportunities. This includes taking a role in driving the opportunities forward and management reporting to senior stakeholders.
- Assist sales teams to originate and support client relationships. This includes attendance and contribution to client meetings.
- Interest in detailed hands-on learning of the desktop and data products.
- Gather and provide client feedback to the Thomson Reuters product and content groups
Skills
- Strong domain knowledge of sell-side equity research organizations. Personal experience working in a research department is not required but will be considered favorably.
- Strong domain knowledge of the software or data sales process. Knowledge of Thomson Reuters products or content is not required but will be considered favorably.
- Excellent team player with ability to work autonomously
- Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
- Commercial and entrepreneurial acumen
- Good project management skills
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Powerpoint
- Fluent English-speaker. Fluency in other Asian languages are not required but will be considered favorably.
