Technology Financial Services (TFS) Asia consists of a team of 6 residing within the Technology Division at Goldman Sachs, providing financial support, management and control for all Technology expenses across Asia. The team covers month-end accounting, reporting, pricing and product management with extensive liaison with technology and non-technology staff globally.
This role resides within the application development (App Dev) section of the team, supporting the application development managers within the division.
 

Responsibilities

• Provide management reporting to Asia App Dev managers internal business clients
• Provide support to the App Dev managers during the forecasting/budgeting process
• Regular meetings with App Dev managers business clients to review their financial packs
• Regular preparation and review of staff costs and headcount reporting
• Preparation of financial models analysis to be used in reporting technology costs to end-users
• Understanding explaining allocation flows of the firm to both Technology and internal business clients
• Responsible for co-ordinating aspects of the Asia App Dev budget, including working with TFS in New York and London, and providing local support to managers analyzing and reporting results
• Working on technology materials for presentations when required
• Provide support to other team members when required
• Ad-hoc expense analysis and management reporting
 

Skills/Experience

• Accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, CPA or equivalent) of benefit
• Highly Motivated self-starter
• Experience of working in a large global organisation
• Strong analytical skills and comfortable handling large volumes of data
• Ability to cope with multiple priorities/demands on time
• Ability to explain complex issues succinctly clearly to appropriate level for audience
• Willing to drive change
• Good communication skills including being comfortable dealing with people at a senior level
• Will challenge views/assumptions where appropriate
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Able to extract commercial trends/themes from high volumes of data
