Asian Equity Analyst / Senior Equity Analyst (Tech & India)

As part of its expansion plans, the Asia Equity team in Singapore is looking to hire for the following position. Note that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
Job Scope:
· Analyse relevant stocks in the assigned countries/sectors
· Must have in-depth knowledge experience with Asian equities, with a proven understanding of sector and stock drivers
· Must be able to engage in peer group reviews and actively exchange information and investment views with other members of the team
· To contribute to the investment performance of the portfolios by identifying mis-priced companies in sectors/countries under coverage
· To make value added stock / sector recommendations to Portfolio Managers
· Develop an investment thesis and convey findings to portfolio managers
· Able to cover Indian equity markets and/or Information Technology sector
Requirements:
· At least 5 years of relevant experience with a reputable buy-side/sell-side firm
· Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience covering India and/or Information Technology sector
· Proven level of experience in equity analysis and portfolio management, with a successful track record of stock picking
· Well-developed quantitative qualitative research skills
· Excellent understanding of different valuation methodologies
· Confidence and experience to make decisions and recommendations, and the ability to stand by these recommendations under challenge
· Proven track record in influencing others through the use of reasoned argument
· Ability to challenge the status quo
· Demonstrated exceptional analytical skills, with strong PC and modelling skills
· Those without relevant buy-side/sell-side experience in portfolio management or equity research will not be considered for this role
