Asian Value Long/Only Equity Investment Management
A large long-term biased Asset Management Fund covering pan-Asian equities from a bottom-up and top-down perspective is looking to build upon its sector specialism with the launch of a pure Real Estate stock-picking fund. The Real Estate fund has been set up by a former Goldman Sachs Director and is in its infantile stages and so looking for a Senior Analyst with experience across Property, Real Estate and Building/Construction sectors to add key value.
The Asian Asset Manager has just under $10b in capital and has seen steady growth since inception in 2007. The newly launched Real Estate fund has traded since the end of 2012 and is run by two renowned Fund Managers in the space. Given the start-up environment of the fund there are excellent prospects of carry within the fund on top of a bonus-heavy pay structure and excellent base salary package.
Key responsibilities of the role:
- Asian Equity focus upon the Real Estate sector: as you will enter the fund as the lead analyst it is required that you have expertise within this space. A strong history of Asian focused real estate on top of a solid track record will be required
- Client building within the region given the start-up nature of the fund, and so additional languages (Mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese) would be useful.
- In-depth research into the Property, Real Estate and Construction sectors using bottom-up analysis
- You will be reporting and recommending on a daily basis to the two renowned sector fund managers, and observing the long-term investment outcomes of your direct stock picks.
This is a specialist fund and currently is offering the ideal opportunity for an expert with the pan-Asian Real Estate Equity space to join as a key contributor to a growing, exciting fund in a renowned Asian Investment Fund. Private Equity Real Estate specialist will also be considered for the role.
