The Governance, Risk Compliance unit works with teams across Thomson Reuters to leverage the full capabilities of the business.
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:
As a Sharepoint Developer at GRC, you will design, develop and troubleshoot software for GRC's next generation of software development framework platform and applications. These Web-based products are developed using state of the art technologies including Microsoft.NET, Microsoft SQL Server and XML technologies. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who will take ownership of the software throughout the entire development process.
The ideal candidate will possess strong development and problem solving skills. They must also possess excellent written and oral communication skills. They must be self-motivated and deliver on commitments within the established timelines.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and maintain SharePoint 2010 Intranet/extranet applications
- Participate in Agile development
- Collaborate with Domain Experts on requirements, specifications, and acceptance testing
- Write Unit Tests to develop code and verify functionality

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
- 4+ years industry experience
- Expert with ASP.NET development using VS2010
- Development experience with SharePoint 2010 and PowerShell a huge plus
- Strong JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, JSON, web development experience.
- Proven development experience using Microsoft SQL server
- Proven development experience in an object oriented language such as C#
- Knowledge of Design Patterns and Unit Testing
- Good communication/collaborative skills and a committed team player
- Experience with Object Relation Mapping tools a plus
