Alexander Black Recruitment is urgently looking for an ASP.NET Developer to join our high profile client.
Our client is a well-known Asset Manager.
The ASP.NET Developer will join a team of hardworking professionals who develop the next generation of trading technology. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly technical firm and one which is going through rapid expansion working on large and complex ASP.NET programming issues.
There are currently 9 on the ASP.NET team with 150 in the London office, the client has 2 offices globally. You will be working as part of a SCRUM team focussed on innovation and rapid delivery of a rich SPA application.
The ASP.NET Developer will develop and maintain system critical software. You will be responsible for all aspects of software and web development on a diverse range of projects, such as automating trading strategies, integrating third party data into systems and the development of data analysis tools. As well as
- Providing a creative approach and clear guidance on the solution design
- Clearly explaining technical issues to key stakeholders
- Advocating and supporting agile engineering practices
- Supporting collective management of technical risk and removal of technical debt
- Mentoring and motivating other team members to deliver quality code on time
Candidates MUST have:
- An BSc or MSc in computing or mathematics
- Min 4 years commercial experience
- C#, ASP.NET and SQL Server
- ASP.NET MVC, Entity Framework and REST-based web services on the server
- HTML5
- JavaScript
- jQuery
- Good understanding of the MVC and MVVM patterns and, ideally, have real world experience of an MVVM framework such as Knockout.js or Angular.js
- Ideally Front-end engineering using HTML5, JavaScript
- Experience working with an IoC framework and ORM tools
- SCRUM
- Automated test and build
Applicants should possess strong software engineering skills, a logical approach to problem solving and be able to prioritise work under pressure.
My client is based in North Kent, so commutable from Croydon, Hayes, Orpington etc.
