Modis is currently seeking a Web Application Developer to help complete an internal portal which their CEO will be unveiling next year. We need someone that can commit to working the project through to completion in March 2012. The specific technology is not as important as overall experience with Web development and SQL. This client offers an excellent work environment and the project could lead to other related work. Proven ability to architect, develop and design scalable, server-side web application with Microsoft SQL and .Net technologies, including:
• Solid understanding of UML and experience developing applications from UML models
• Experience with Agile development and SCRUM
• Experience designing highly extensible, modular web applications/databases from requirements
• Familiarity with Normal Formatting practices and building data models
• Proven ability to develop ASP.NET Web services
• Experience creating test cases and performing unit tests
Required Technical Skills:
• SOA (Service-Oriented Architecture)
• n-tier software architecture, C#, and ASP.Net
• Visual Studio 2008/2010
• .Net Web Services
• SQL Server 2005/2008
• Javascript, CSS, and Ajax
• IIS 6.0 and higher
Experience with the following is desirable:
• WCF (Window Communication Foundation)
• MVC (Model/View/Controller) frameworks
• Team foundation server
