Able to Work With Such Cleaning Solutions as Isopropyl Alcohol
$10.80/HOUR
WORK HOURS: 11:00PM-7:00AM
POSITION CONSISTS OF APPROXIMATELY 30% STANDING
50% SITTING AND 20% WALKING
Volt Workforce Solutions has a temporary position available in Taunton, MA for an Assembler to work the Third Shift.
Position Summary:
The purpose of this position is to assemble products by:
- Paying close attention to work orders and customers' specifications.
- Utilizing all safety rules and procedures at maximum efficiency, with minimum scrap, to achieve an acceptable product while following quality guidelines and specifications.
Safety is the Company’s #1 priority. It is the responsibility of every worker at the Taunton facility to understand and enforce the safety rules and regulations for him/herself and all co-workers in this facility.
The Assembler follows the proper steps to achieve an acceptable product, while following quality specifications and guidelines, in a safe working environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Assembler:
- Is responsible for accurate recordkeeping as per Supervisor/Lead Person's direction.
- Reports any suspected problems or questions involving the product or paperwork to the Lead Person or Production Supervisor.
- Follows and understands GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) and OPs (Operating Procedures) as they pertain to his/her responsibilities.
- Sets up work areas with proper components for completing the assigned tasks.
- Maintains a neat and orderly work area to ensure efficiency and safety.
- Utilizes documentation such as the Bill of Materials (Work Order) product specification drawings and Company equipment (i.e. Rulers, Tappi Chart, Go No Go Gauge) to achieve an acceptable product.
- Is able to:
- Complete all required paperwork correctly (mathematical and measuring skills are required).
- Set-up Branding equipment.
- Brand coils per specification.
- Load and unload post-cure ovens.
- Program post-cure ovens with correct cycle as per specification.
- Operate Spooling equipment.
- Spool tubing per specification.
- Clean and package all products, including molded products.
- Set-up and operate tube rinsing equipment.
- Assemble pump sets per specification.
- Drill, vulcanize, clean, package and assemble various products.
- Meets all good Quality, Quantity and Manufacturing practices to satisfy customer requirements.
- Performs other duties as assigned and keeps the work area clean.

Requirements:
Required Skills for this Assembler position include the following:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Mathematical and measuring skills
- 1-3 years of experience in a Manufacturing environment
- The ability to:
- Read and understand work orders and product specifications
- Read, write and follow verbal and written instructions in the English language
Environmental and Physical Requirements:
- Physical Coordination, as well as the ability to lift up to a maximum of 35 pounds
- Weight over 35 pounds requires assistance from additional personnel
- Company-approved safety shoes and safety glasses required in designated areas
- The ability to work with cleaning solutions such as Isopropyl Alcohol required
