Assembler I

 
JOB SUMMARY:
 
With minimal supervision, assembles and tests products and subcomponents using hand tools, power tools and general measuring instruments.
 

·         Inspect parts to assure they are clean and free of contaminates.
·         Review work order/sales order with customer requirements.
·         Verify parts to be correct per work order.
·         Assemble to applicable procedure/work instruction using applicable equipment/supplies.
·         Test assembly/component per applicable procedure/work instruction.
·         Completes and submits all quality assurance documents.
·         Utilizes and abides by ISO and Safety Procedures.
·         Demonstrates a dedicated responsibility and compliance with all safety and quality policies, specifications, regulations and instruction.
·         Any other duties assigned by management.

·         Ability to read and understand work orders, blueprints, and/or assimilate verbal work instructions.
·         Ability to understand and effectively use general measuring instruments.
·         Knowledge of and ability to use hand tool and power tools.
·         Flexibility with regard to job assignments.
·         Ability to comprehend and utilize ISO manufacturing procedures.
·         Ability to perform basic mathematical computation using a calculator.
·         Ability to lift 30 pounds, if required.
·         Must have completed requirements as stated on Assembler Matrix.  Any exemptions must be approved by management.
·         High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
·         Ability to read, write and speak effectively in English.
