Job Responsibilities/Duties: Responsible for performing the hands-on assembly of fiber optic cables. Assemble fiber cables, polish and clean Use of various equipment to perform the assembly, including: small hand tools, razor blades, diamond wheel, etc. Reports to Production Team Leader Responsible for all aspects of fabrication, from receiving raw materials to final QA inspection. Responsible for completing forms after production (i.e., work tickets, prints, epoxy instructions) Responsible for keeping a Work Order Log for Waste and Improvements Work on team based continuous improvement projects Inspect product with gages, tapes and microscopes Requirements: MUST have previous experience in hand assembly work. Previous print reading and work orders use Previous assembly work experience with small delicate parts Basic documentation and computer familiarity High School Diploma Good spoken and written communication skills Patient, artistic, and mechanically inclined Commitment to quality, good learning abilities Ability to function in a team oriented production environment Able to manage multiple tasks and deliver completed product in accordance with designated schedules
