Title: Assembly Manager-Trim and Final Department

A global automotive manufacturer is seeking an assembly manager for its production facility in the Midwest.  As a leading global brand, it has earned one of the highest repurchase loyalty ratings in the US market today and has built its reputation on cutting edge technology, durability, reliability and safety.

As assembly manager, you will be responsible for leading the facility’s assembly department within the trim and final assembly department.  In this role, you will have responsibility for quality, process improvement, maintenance, scheduling, training, and overall responsibility for the trim and final assembly department.

Responsibilities:

• Meet production, safety, quality, budget control, and line balancing within the assembly trim and final department.

• Improve the assembly process in the facility’s trim and final department.

• Lead continuous improvement activities for the trim and final department within the facility with the goal of eliminating waste and inefficiencies within the assembly process.

Education and Required Experience: 

• Bachelor of Science preferably in engineering or a technical field.

5 or more years’ assembly management experience within an automotive assembly environment.

Highly developed planning, organizational, and team building skills.

Demonstrated leadership skills.

 Experience working in a lean environment and leading continuous improvement activities.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer.

• Ability to travel up to 20%.
