Assembly/Test Technician on A/C rotation Job in Rochester 14650, New York Us

Job Description:
We are currently hiring individuals for an Assembler/Test Technician for 12 hour shifts, rotating between A and C shift. This position is an 18-month opportunity.

*** CANDIDATES WITH PRIOR ELECTRONIC ASSEMBLY HIGHLY DESIRED. ***

PPE:
Clean room garb consisting of coverall, hair cover, hood, mask/veil, safety glasses, shoes/boots/covers, cotton glove liners, latex over gloves and additional PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as required. Clean room shoes will be ordered after 30 days. Until shoes received, should wear rubber sole shoes like sneakers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform semiconductor package assembly and test operations in a cleanroom environment, wearing a full cleanroom uniform. Work will include manual as well as automated processes with some work performed using microscopes. Assignments may include semiconductor wire bonding, coating, use of laser saw, and die/glass attach steps in the assembly area as well as optical inspections and performing sensor image performance and quality tests.
Excellent attention to detail, concentration, and focus on quality are required.
Must possess good communication skills and be able to follow instructions, both written and verbal. Must follow standard operating procedures precisely. Basic math and computer skills are required.
Desire individuals with self-motivation, a good safety record, and good lab/work habits. Must be able to contribute effectively in a team environment and interface well with others. Prefer previous experience in a production environment.
Must have the ability to perform job functions while fully covered in a clean room suit consisting of, coverall, hair cover, hood, mask/veil, safety glasses, shoes/boots/covers, cotton glove liners, latex over gloves and additional PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Able to work rotating (day/night) 12-hour shift schedule
Able to perform all jobs in cleanroom attire
Requires bending, squatting, reaching, mobility
Able to sit for extended periods of time
Able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
Possess visual acuity and ability to use microscopes extensively
Able to use chemicals/solvents for cleaning and xylene occasionally in some assignments
Must possess manual dexterity and steadiness
Able to read and comprehend English (written and verbal)
Able to use Windows based PCs
Possess math and problem solving skills.
Must be US Citizen or Permanent Resident (ITAR Regulations)
