Assessment Officer

Working for the public services to calculate customer contributions towards the cost of their personal care. To undertake a financial assessment of a customers' ability to pay contribution towards the cost of their care in line with Council Guidance.

Day to day duties include:
To financially assess customer contributions for non-residential care
To reclaim debt on customer accounts
To open post and record weekly totals for performance reporting
To contact care providers to confirm/query the delivery of care to customers
To respond appropriately, with sensitivity, to queries from customers
To assist in the maintaining of customers’ accounts
To assist with the monthly dispatch of invoices to customers
To maintain file correspondence in customers paper files

Suitable candidates must have good IT skills, i.e. Word Excel, Outlook. Be flexible and willing to undertake a range of tasks. Have experience of working in a customer focused environment. Be proactive in order to resolve customer queries. Have good interpersonal organizational skills.Be able to work effectively as part of a team or on their own. Debt control and negotiation skills.
