Institutional Banking and Markets provides relationship management and product capability for the Bank's major corporate, government and institutional clients. IBM offers Total Capital Solutions to our clients, ranging from core transactional banking to debt, equity and financial markets risk management products and services.
The team
Corporate Banking Solutions (CBS) is a team that is dedicated to exceeding the expectations of CBA's business customers by offering innovative and compelling banking solutions, supported by a simple and easy origination experience.
CBS works closely with BPB and IBM sales and distribution channels to provide solutions that cover all business working capital, payments, asset finance and lending needs.
The Asset Finance Centre is a centralised national team responsible for the sale of Car Equipment Finance products. We are currently a team of less than 100 employees whose key stakeholders include not only external clients, but also internal clients including Relationship Managers, Asset Finance Specialists and other staff members from the internal CBA network.
You will:
Deliver dynamic banking solutions to improve our clients' businesses and support Australia's economic development.
More specifically you will:
- Deliver timely credit assessment decisions on complex transactions/entity types such as cash flow projections and start-up businesses and recommend referrals to relevant risk departments where outside delegation
- Maintain Credit quality standards and contribute to maintaining the teams "best practise" outcomes
- Ensure that the Bank's credit policies, procedures and audit requirements relating to car and equipment finance are adhered to and understood
- Build a proactive and empathetic relationship with the CBA network our internal business partners
- Enhance the centre's capability to on board Local Business Banking (LBB) equipment
- Value-add to customer (internal/external) relationships by supporting the Direct Network Sales staff in their activities
- Provide strategic and tactical insights to drive business outcomes
- Participate in weekly team and/or sales and service meetings
- Actively drive self-development for future opportunities
- Contribute to the Centre's positive and vibrant culture
You have:
- Effective oral and written communication skills including phone manner
- Leadership capabilities - Inspiring to others, lead by example with strong interpersonal skills
- Multi-tasking skills
- Superior planning and time management skills
- Demonstration of successfully working in a team environment
- FSRA Tier 2 Accreditation (Desirable)
- PCAA/CAA holder
Desirable
- Product knowledge of Equipment Finance (including hire purchase, chattel mortgage, finance lease and novated lease)
- Equipment Finance experience
