Corporate Business Solutions (CBS) is a team that is dedicated to exceeding the expectations of CBA's business customers by offering innovative and compelling banking solutions, supported by a simple and easy origination experience.
CBS works closely with BPB and IBM sales and distribution channels to provide solutions that cover all business working capital, payments, asset finance and lending needs.
CBS also provides a wide range of services to IBM and other BPB divisions, including strategic advisory and incubation of new businesses.
The Asset Finance Centre is a centralised national team responsible for the sale of asset finance products. We are currently a team of less than 100 employees whose key stake holders include not only external customers, but also internal customers including Relationship Managers, Asset Finance Specialists and other staff members from the internal CBA network.
Role Purpose:
To write new business referred via a number of sources, including phone, email, OTR and retaining existing customers by contacting all maturing contracts prior to the maturity date with a view to refinancing or replacing the contract. The Sales and Retention Associate will be responsible for the management of the deal to funding and be the primary point of contact for the customer.
- Make outbound phone calls on OTR's received within the 2hr SLA, make outbound phone calls on maturity work items within the timeframe specified, make outbound calls to customers who have enquired via the internet and assist with general enquiries referred from the banking network.
- Understand customer's needs and requirements to ensure the customer is delivered the most appropriate product.
- Provide quotations using CommSee quoting
- Take credit applications from customers
- Maintain work item queues to ensure that all work items and OTR's are updated when required.
- Follow up customers to ensure conversion from enquiry to funding is satisfactory
- Request tax invoices from car dealerships
- Answer inbound calls from both internal and external customers
- Provide accurate payout figures to phone requests from both internal and external customers
- Provide accurate credit references to phone requests received from other financiers
- Contribution to business to fall within Valued / Superior Contributions for KPI's
- Ensure any OTR or Work Items are updated with notes / status's accordingly
- Support to the Sales and Retention Team Leader as required
- Delivers premium sales and services to asset finance customers thereby retaining customers, improving customer's experience, and increasing the bank's profitability while ensuring the AFC becomes the recognised industry leader in asset finance.
Qalifications and Experience Required:
- Exceptional sales skills with above average ability to convert leads into funded deals
- The ability to work in a phone based transactional sales environment
- Product knowledge of Asset Finance (including Hire Purchase / Chattel Mortgage / Novated Lease )
- Ability to quote on asset finance transactions
- Exceptional customer service skills
- 8am to 8pm availability
- The ability to multi-task in a high pressure environment
- Team playing through sharing ideas, skills and knowledge with the team
- Strong relationship building skills with both internal and external customers
- Extensive knowledge of the refinance process for all asset finance deals
- Ability to make an informed credit decision
