Asset Finance – In

Full Job Description

A rare opportunity has arisen to join a well established and growing financial services company. As a major asset holder and investor within the transport sector, the organisation maintains and leases its assets to a large number of operators. The company is now seeking to make a key hire within the legal team to work directly with the General Counsel on a broad range of matters.

The responsibilities are predominantly focused on managing a growing portfolio of leasing and asset financing arrangements, including sales/purchases as well as maintenance contracts. Additionally there will be scope to take on more general commercial and corporate work, as well as some sector-specific regulatory work. There will be a strong emphasis on customer service to the business and its clients, and candidates should be commercially minded and have a clear sense of the role of an in-house lawyer.

The role offers an excellent opportunity to move in-house within a growing and commercially successful organisation, and the opportunity to take on high-profile and interesting work. Equally, for lawyers already practicing in-house, it offers the opportunity to gain specialist experience within a rewarding environment, with a genuinely supportive team.

The organisation is keen to hear from high-calibre, City law firm trained lawyers with ideally at least 4 years' post-qualification experience. Whilst some experience in asset finance is essential, the company is also interested to hear from talented lawyers with a broader finance or corporate background.

Please note our advertisements use PQE/salary levels purely as a guide. However we are happy to consider applications from all candidates who are able to demonstrate the skills necessary to fulfil the role.
